Valentine’s Day Cocktails

Pink Passion Pisco cocktail

Second only to New Year’s, Valentine’s Day is the best night to stay home. Why fight the crowds and jacked up prices when you can stay at home with your sweetie. Impress him with one of these Valentine’s Day Cocktails.

The Pink Passion cocktail (shown above) is made with Pisco, which Author Rudyard Kipling once said was, “compounded of the shavings of cherubs’ wings, the glory of a tropical dawn, [and] the red clouds of sunset.” Does it get more romantic?

Pink Passion
2 parts Pisco Portón
1 part pomegranate juice
1 part tangerine juice
Sugar to taste
Pomegranate seeds for garnish
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.

Lovers tango cocktail

If he’s more of a vodka kinda guy, try this Lover’s Tango from Belvedere Vodka
Lover’s Tango
1.5 oz Belvedere Black Raspberry
1/2 oz Plum Sake
Dash Peychaud bitters (more for color than flavour, drink should be a very light pink)

Stir over ice and garnish with an orange twist.
