Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a perfume wearer. I like the way certain fragrances smell, but with all the top notes, middle notes and base notes, I’m never sure which one is going to dry down into a migraine for me. But now, thanks to the Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends, I can happily spritz on a scent without worrying I’ll get a headache.
The blends are basically two scents and are formulated with fewer ingredients using higher proportions of each key ingredients. The four blends were inspired by countries around the world: Fig Leaf & Sage stems from Provence, Orange Flower & Lychee Blossom is inspired by Morocco, Vanilla & Cedarwood is a journey to Uganda and Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit comes from Japan. Each scent has a fragrance, body lotion and body cleanser.
My favorite is the Orange Flower & Lychee Blossom. The orange flower is extracted from the bitter orange tree that is native to Morocco. It produces fruit that has a more potent “orange” aroma and the scent is derived from the stem, leaf and flower. The combination of the two scents is energetic without being over powerful–ideal for summer and headache surfers like me.
