Sponsored Post: How to Rock Orange Makeup

Orange is having a moment. Not only is Orange is the New Black the most buzzed about TV show of the summer (go watch it right now if you haven’t seen it yet!), but orange is the color for summer. The sunny color is a natural sun-kissed accent for end-of-summer tans (faux, of course!). Don’t think you can pull it off? Read on for tips on finding the right shade of orange for every skin color.

Fair. A swipe of soft coral gloss on your lips or a sweep of coral blush are the easiest ways to try out the trend.

Medium. Go for a dusting of brick orange shadow. Line eyes with a brown or gold liner to make them sparkle.

Dark. Play up your skin tone with a full coverage orange lipstick or bright orange shadow.

Nails. Orange nail polish will work on almost all skin tones. If you’re nervous about it, try it as an accent nail or on your toes.

Tips for Wearing Orange Makeup

When you wear orange on one part of your face, keep the rest of your makeup simple. Otherwise you run the risk of looking like a canary.

Make sure your skin is in tip-top shape before you experiment with orange makeup; the bright color draws attention to your features and your complexion. To get your skin naturally glowing, I like the fragrance and dye-free products by Simple Skincare products. When it comes to experimenting with new colors, there’s a lot of trial and error – the Simple Cleansing Wipes and Eye Make-Up Remover Pads mean you can play with this fun color all you want and wipe away the any unflattering looks without worry about irritation.
